Family Holidays in Antalya

Why it works so well, and where I’d actually stay.
If I’m being honest, Antalya is one of the easiest family holidays you can book - and that’s not a bad thing.
Everything is set up for you. Short-ish flight from the UK, smooth transfers, resorts that are built around families rather than trying to adapt to them. It’s one of those places where the holiday starts properly on day one, not day three.
But like anything in Antalya, where you stay makes all the difference.
Why Antalya works for families
Before even getting into hotels, this is what makes it so reliable:
- All-inclusive done properly – meals, snacks, drinks, all taken care of
- Resorts built for space – you’re not fighting for sunbeds or tables
- Kids’ clubs that actually work – structured, staffed, and varied
- Good flight times from the UK – manageable with younger children
- Consistent weather in summer – long, dry days you can plan around
If you’re travelling with kids and just want things to be easy, Antalya is hard to beat.

Where I’d stay with younger children
If you’ve got younger kids, I’d always lean towards Belek.
At Selectum Family Resort Belek, part of our partner collec tion, everything is built around that balance between kids and adults. Water slides, kids’ clubs, and activity zones are all there — but they don’t take over the whole hotel.
The thing that stands out here is the space. You’re not constantly saying “stay close” or worrying about busy pool areas. It feels open, which makes a difference when you’re travelling as a family. Transfer is around 35 minutes, which is manageable even with little ones.
Close by, Asteria Family Resort Belek is a slightly calmer optio n. If you want something that still works perfectly for kids but feels a bit more relaxed overall, this is where I’d look. It’s easy, comfortable, and very consistent.
Where I’d stay with older kids and teens
Older kids change the dynamic slightly. It becomes less about slides and more about keeping them engaged.
This is where somewhere like Land of Legends Kingdom Hotel works incredibly well. There’ s more going on. Sports, entertainment, theme parks, water parks, a bit more energy around the hotel. It gives teenagers enough to do without them feeling like they’re stuck in a “kids resort.”
If you want something a bit more premium but still family-friendly, Maxx Royal Belek Golf Resort is one of the best all-rounders. It manages to cater to families without ever feeling like it’s just for families. Service is high, food is strong, and there’s enough variety to keep everyone happy.

If you want the easiest possible trip
If this is your first family holiday abroad, or you’re travelling with very young children, Lara Beach is worth considering.
You’re around 15–20 minutes from the airport. That alone changes the feel of the trip.
You land, you transfer quickly, and you’re straight into holiday mode. No long coach journeys, no tired kids at the end of it. For a lot of families, that’s the difference between a smooth start and a stressful one.
Hotels here are typically larger and all-inclusive focused, which works in your favour when travelling with kids.
What actually matters when booking
The best family holidays in Antalya usually come down to a few practical things:
- Transfer time – shorter is always better with kids
- Hotel layout – space matters more than you think
- Age-appropriate facilities – toddlers vs teens is a big difference
- Dining flexibility – buffets, snacks, easy options throughout the day
- Room type – family rooms or suites can make the whole trip easier
It’s less about finding the “best hotel” and more about finding the one that fits your family properly.
The family hotels I’d come back to
If I had to narrow it down:
- Selectum Family Resort Belek – best all-rounder for younger families
- Asteria Family Resort Belek – relaxed, easy, very reliable
- Rixos Premium Belek – ideal with older kids or teens
- Maxx Royal Belek – premium option that still works for families
Each one does something slightly different, but all of them make family travel feel straightforward.
